How long we retain your information

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for legitimate business purposes, and in accordance with applicable law. Once your account is closed, we will retain and delete your personal information as follows:

In order to adhere to legal data retention requirements, we retain a limited amount of data. To meet tax and accounting obligations, transaction data is retained for five years. Credit card information is stored for the duration in which a user may challenge a transaction, typically not exceeding 120 days. Additionally, we retain traffic data and logs for a period of two years to comply with Australian legal data retention obligations.
We retain limited information based on our legitimate interests, such as enforcing our rights and defending against claims. Profile data is kept for up to one year in anticipation of potential legal disputes, while data preventing banned members from creating new accounts is retained for as long as necessary to ensure the safety of Orthodate members.
